Whether newlywed or seasoned in marriage, it's vital to recognize that your union is a divine gift meant to bring joy, honor God, and further His kingdom. 

This is precisely why your marriage faces challenges. The adversary seeks to undermine you, your spouse, and your family. John 10:10 NIV warns, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy," but God promises a rich and fulfilling life. To embrace this life, you must be certain of your identity and to whom you belong.

A wise woman builds her home, while a foolish one destroys it with her own hands (Proverbs 14:1, GWT). A marriage resilient against life's storms must rest on a firm foundation. Jesus illustrates this in Matthew 7:24-27 with two houses facing a fierce storm: one falls due to a weak foundation, while the other stands strong. The key difference? The latter not only listened to Jesus's words but acted on them.

To hear Jesus's words, one must engage in prayer. A strong foundation requires not just listening but also acting on His teachings. "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17 ESV).

Wives are called to be their husband's helper, as stated in Genesis 2:18 NIV, "It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." 

You are uniquely designed to be your husband's helper, meaning one who provides support. As a wife, you were created to assist your husband, offering the help he needs.
